I'm linking up with 4th Grade Frolics today for the monthly installment of Monday Made It!
Recently, I came across an old cork board of mine.
Years ago, I spray painted the rim a blue color to give it some kind of pizazz!
But recently, when I discovered this cork board in my storage room, I knew that I could really use it at school to have more "personal space" where I could display pictures of my kids and husband. On my next trip to Hobby Lobby I came across this GORGEOUS fabric. It's brightly colored and paisley print---two of my loves right now!!!
It was a scrap piece that was on clearance, but it was big enough for what I wanted to do. I think the whole piece was only $1.10! It was a total steal in my book!! I then recruited my husband to help me wrap and staple it around the cork board frame.
(I figured two people stretching it at the same time would make it extra tight!)

So we laid it out, pulled the fabric tight and began stapling with a heavy duty nail gun. The whole process only took about 7 minutes from start to finish-- and VIOLA-- here it is!
I love the end product!
I immediately took it to work, hung it up and adorned it with pictures of my loves!! It's so bright and really shows my personality! It's a perfect addition in my room!
That is so simple to make and yet has such an amazing result! I will definitely be making one this month! Thanks for sharing!

Love it! I follow the Clutter Free Classroom blog and Charity has been doing a lot with ribbon. What if you trimmed the edges with a bright ribbon? I hot glued black ribbon to my chalkboard edges and it makes such a difference. Just a thought. It looks great the way it is now too!!

So cute! I really should do that too - funny how I have done that with my own children's bulletin boards, but never with my small one at school.
