Easter is right around the corner!
Wow, where did the time go??
It feels like New Years was just a week ago! Aghhh, only 9 weeks of school left and I feel like I have so much left to teach---time to kick it into high gear!!
I wanted to share with you an activity that my teammates and I do at Easter time.
It's a simple little activity, the kids love it and it gets them writing and using adjectives! (And it gets the parents involved in helping their student write!)
It's a little game that's called guess what's in the egg!
We simply send home this note and a plastic Easter egg inside of a gallon size Ziploc baggie.
We give them a few days to bring it back to school and most of them do!
The kids love reading the clues they've written and of course, the other kids in class love guessing!
It's a great activity to get the kids writing and using those adjectives.
I'll be back soon and I'll post some of the clues and items the kids have hidden in their eggs!
What a great idea! I could totally see doing this after Spring Break/Easter as well. I would have my kiddos put something that made Easter or the break special to them (maybe a little toy or keepsake from a trip.) Thanks for sharing!
